Meet Jolly
Most clients know me as Jolly, a name that reflects the warmth, energy, and genuine care I bring into every session. My boutique studio, located just minutes from Smith Mountain Lake, has become a trusted space for clients who want more than photographs. They want an experience that feels thoughtful, relaxed, and deeply personal.
How It All Began
My journey into photography began long before I opened my studio. As the yearbook historian in high school, I discovered that photographs were more than images. They were stories and evidence of a moment in time that deserved to be preserved.
After careers in education and the medical field, I returned to photography and opened my studio in 2013. I have been honored to be voted one of the top three photographers at Smith Mountain Lake every year since. That recognition means the world to me because it reflects the trust and support of the families and seniors I serve.
Who I Photograph
Today, I photograph high school seniors, families, commercial clients, and corporate professionals. From curated wardrobe guidance to natural posing and a seamless ordering appointment, every detail is designed with the client’s comfort and confidence in mind.
My Philosophy on Printed Artwork
My belief in printed artwork is deeply rooted. Photographs are meant to be lived with, displayed, touched, and passed down. My clients leave with more than digital files. They leave with heirloom-quality pieces created to last for generations.
Life Beyond the Studio
Outside the studio, you will find me boating on Smith Mountain Lake, reading a great book, traveling with my husband, enjoying the golf course, or playing with my Goldendoodle, Molly Mae.
